This study was designed to investigate the effect of organizational justice on organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) as well as to examine how Islamic work ethics moderates the aforementioned relationship. By using a cross sectional design, with data collected from 354 nurses working in a Pakistani public hospital. Drawing on social exchange theory, we examined three dimensions of organizational justice–distributive, procedural, and interactional justice, OCB. It was hypothesized that organizational justice dimensions would positively predict organizational citizenship behavior among nurses. Moreover, we also assumed that Islamic work ethics will strengthen the relationship between organizational justice dimensions and organizational citizenship behavior. Analysis reveals that all three justice dimensions predict organizational citizenship behavior. Furthermore, Islamic work ethics strengthened the relationship between the organizational justice dimensions and OCB. Implications of study findings and future suggestions are discussed.
