The present paper begins from the empirically established positive relationship between the measures ofpast purchases ofa destination and those ofthe intention to repurchase in the future. It posits that this relationship is mediated by the development ofplace aUachment. It also examines the moderating effect ofnovelty seeking at two distinct levels: novelty seeking as moderating the relationship between past purchases and place attachment and also that between place attachment and future purchase intention.
