The research was performed in the central part of the Świętokrzyskie mountains in the sylvan ecosystem between 2000 and 2006. The results indicate growing acidification of rainwaters enriched with metals which results in the increase of acidifica-tion rate (Ma %) and decrease of pH. In the research period (2000--2006) an average amount of Ma % in precipitation amounted to 9.26 (weak acidic solution), after penetrating tree-crowns it is enriched with metals, mainly with Mn (fivefold increase of the load) and with Al (fourfold increase of the load). In the Świętokrzyskie mountains in 2000-2006 in total, the load of tested metals amounted to: 1.314 kg ź ha-1 in precipitation, 4.61 kg ź ha-1 in throughfall in fir-stand and 1.638 kg ź ha-1 in beech-stand.
