Methods: This cross-sectional study examined the educational motivation and some related factors in Health and Nutrition School in Shiraz University of Medical Sciences. 260 people were randomly selected and studied. AMS is to collect data on academic motivation scale. Data collected entered to the software spss-16 and by using the descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA and correlation were analyzed.
Results: The mean score of academic motivation of the participants in the study, 84/0±31/4, the mean intrinsic motivation 07/1±33/4, external motivation 1±78/4 and lack of motivation was 47/1±83/2. In this study, only between the external motivation in the area of external regulation and matched with marital status and public health field was observed significant relationship (Pvalue< 0.05).
