Background
Since the start of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease 2019) pandemic, telemedicine has become an important tool for the delivery of outpatient cardiovascular care.
Methods
This is a single-center retrospective study in which insurance and median household income (MHI) data were collected between March 16th-June 30th, 2020. Two-way ANOVA was used to compare averaged median income for each encounter type (phone, video, in-person). Multivariate logistic regression was used to generate odds ratios adjusted for age, race/ethnicity, sex, language, and MHI.
Results
A total of 8449 patients were seen (86% NH-White, 58% male, median age 66.9+/-15.2) during the study timeframe.
