Two new non-taxoids, named (Z)-2-(2,4-dihydroxy-2,6,6-trimethylcyclohexylidene)acetic acid (1) and (E)-3-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)acrylic anhydride (2), were isolated from the leaves of Taxus cuspidata, and the structures were elucidated on the basis of one- and two-dimensional NMR (including ¹H, ¹³C NMR, DEPT, ¹H–¹H COSY, HSQC, HMBC, and NOESY).
