简介
Modern techniques have been developed to meet the demands of the cut flower industry in the next century. Available methods for the transfer of genes could significantly shorten the breeding procedures and overcome some of the agronomic and environmental problems, which would otherwise not be achievable through conventional methods. The recent techniques, along with several other biotechnological approaches designed to enrich the genome of rose via somaclonal variation and genetic transformation, are reviewed.
