Nanotechnology has provided numerous exciting materials with a variety of opportunities to be utilized for exclusive applications that are 148not possible with their bulk counterparts. Metal nanoparticles are the most common nanosized particles that are extensively under research and are currently employed in various commercial applications. Among metal nanoparticles, silver nanoparticles are widely used for biomedical applications, due to their unique optical properties, enhanced stability, bioreactivity, and bioavailability. In addition, the silver nanoparticles are known for their effective microbial cell inhibition ability. The challenges related to the toxicity of chemically and physically synthesized silver nanoparticles can be reduced using green synthesis methods.
