Gastric cancer was ranked as one of the most common causes of death in Colombia. Its prevention, early detection, and treatment, has become an important state policy. This research describes the behavior of gastric cancer in Colombia during the period 2005-2012, using spatial regression models, which identified potential risk factors associated with the phenomenon, and disease maps, which show spatial patterns and clusters, and allowed to classify the territory by zones according to level of prevalence of the disease.
