The occurrence of Mansonia indubitans Dyar & Shannon and Ma. titillans (Walker) and some of their parasites and pathogens was monitored for two years by sampling immature stages and adults. Both mosquito species were present from Spring to Fall, being their presence associated to phenology of water lettuce, Pistia stratiotesL. Peaks of adults suggested the occurrence of several overlapping generations. Overwintering adults are believed to occur for both Mansonia species. Fungí (Achlya sp., Geotrichum candidum Link ex Person, Smittium sp., and an unidentified species of Hyphomycetes) and a Microsporidia (Amblyospora indubitantis García & Becnel) were found associated with the mosquito.
