Background: Social distancing and stay-at-home policies during the COVID-19 pandemic impacted health behaviors [1]. However, the impact on skin cancer primary prevention activities is unknown. We hypothesized increased time at home would lead to more time outside, and thus increased sun exposure. We conducted a cross-sectional study to quantify the impact of the pandemic on sun habits of patients with melanoma. An electronic survey was administered between June 2020 and May 2022 to patients with melanoma enrolled in registries established by Moffitt Cancer Center (MCC; Tampa, Florida; n= 207) and Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU; Portland, Oregon; n= 123). The median age of melanoma diagnosis was 66.0 years, and most (92.1%) participants were diagnosed within the previous 2-5 years.
