Khalid Ouarghi 1 Abstract: In this talk, we present new types of modules called strongly FI-injective modules and strongly FI-flat modules. After presenting some elementary results on them, we show that they serve to give a new characterization of quasi-Frobenius rings and IF rings. Namely, we show that a ring R is quasi-Frobenius (resp., IF) if and only if every R-module is strongly FI-injective (resp., strongly FI-flat).
