Bereaved children and adolescents suffering from symptoms of Prolonged Grief Disorder (PGD)—a disorder of grief encompassing distressing and disabling symptoms of separation distress (e.g., yearning) and other debilitating grief-reactions, beyond the first half year of bereavement. It may be inappropriate for bereaved people simply requiring support in the recent aftermath of a loved one’s death.
