Background
Myocarditis is a rare but potentially fatal complication of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI). Among broad populations, late gadolinium enhancement (LGE) on cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) is used for diagnosis and risk prediction in patients with myocarditis. There are no data on the use of LGE among patients with ICI-associated myocarditis.
Methods
Participants' clinical characteristics, CMR characteristics, biopsy and autopsy data and outcomes were collected from a multicenter registry of ICI-associated myocarditis from 19 sites across US, Canada and Europe. Major cardiovascular events (MACE) were defined as the composite of cardiovascular death, cardiogenic shock, cardiac arrest, and hemodynamically significant complete heart block.
Results
