A new series of 2-(3-methyl-2-oxoquinoxalin-1(2H)-yl)-N-(4-substitutedphenyl)acetamides (2–15_a–c) were designed and synthesized in order to evaluate their anticonvulsant activity. The structure of the synthesized compounds was confirmed by elemental analysis and spectral data (IR, ¹H NMR and Mass). The data obtained from biological screening revealed that; compounds 9_c and 8_c showed the highest anticonvulsant activities in experimental mice.
