Reviews the research literature on visual processing in monkey extrastriate. Attention focuses on the organization of the primate visual cortex (hierarchical organization and 2 streams of processing), transformations of the image that occur along the motion pathway, the color and form pathway, and extraretinal inputs. Evidence suggests that the organization of cortical visual areas encompasses both parallel and serial relationships.
