Neurodegeneration, the irreversible loss of neurons, disrupts brain-body interactions, causing diseases like Alzheimer's disease (AD), amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Huntington's disease (HD), multiple sclerosis (MS), and Parkinson's disease (PD).
