The aim of this study was to assess 14 urinary metals (cadmium, barium, cobalt, molybdenum, mercury, cesium, manganese, antimony, lead, tin, strontium, tungsten, thallium, and uranium), seven species of arsenic (arsenous acid, arsenic acid, arsenobetaine, arsenocholine, dimethylarsinic acid, monomethylarsonic acid, and total arsenic) and seven polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) (1-hydroxynaphthalene, 2-hydroxynaphthalene, 3-hydroxyfluorene, 2-hydroxyfluorene, 1-hydroxyphenanthrene, 1-hydroxypyrene, 2 & 3-hydroxyphenanthrene) compounds’ concentrations in urine and the correlation with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in the adult US population.
