Hypertensive disorders of pregnancy (HDPs) include gestational hypertension (GH) and pre-eclampsia (PE). The occurrence of these disorders is thought to increase cardiovascular risk throughout women's life.

To evaluate the early impact of hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, their recurrence, their precocity and their severity on a wide range of cardiovascular outcomes in France.

CONCEPTION is a French nationwide cohort study which uses data from the country's National Health Data System (SNDS) database. We included all women with no history of cardiovascular or renal event, who delivered in France for the first time between 2010 and 2018 (n = 2,819,655 women).
