In this paper, the heat transfer capabilities of the hybrid nanofluids and their behavior in heat transfer applications under laminar and turbulent flows were investigated. The study is based on both experimental data and theoretical analyses. Heat transfer capability of the hybrid nanofluids was evaluated on different figures of merit both in laminar and turbulent flows at various temperatures and volume fractions of hybrid nanoparticles. Finally, two possible applications of the hybrid nanofluids, other than those frequently studied, namely the forced convective heat transfer in the parallel flow over isothermal flat plates and the natural convection over vertical plate in laminar and turbulent flows which occurs in numerous engineering applications were analyzed and detail discussed.
