The aim of this study was to determine the differences in morphological and motor characteristics between karate athletes and non-athletes. The morphological characteristics and motor abilities of students were compered, who are exposed to specific impact of training in karate and students (non-athletes) of junior school age who are not exposed to the impact of the training. The sample in this ex-post facto research consisted of 26 karate athletes and 28 athletes aged 11 years. We examined three variables for evaluation of morphological characteristics and 5 for motor abilities. To test the mean differences between groups in individual variables we used two-tailed T-test for small independent samples.
