The article presents a case study of A 72-year-old gentleman presented to the device clinic following a remote transmission for sudden increase in high voltage (HV) impedance from 70 Ohms to over 200 Ohms and tachycardia episodes. He had a single chamber implantable cardiac defibrillator and background of ischemic cardiomyopathy. The patient was admitted to the hospital and the Optisure lead was extracted by simple rotation and traction.
