Abstract Objectives: Application of the Charlson Comorbidity Index (CCI) on Egyptian patients with head and neck cancer and determining whether it has effect on their overall Survival. Methods: This cross sectional study included one hundred Egyptian patients with head and neck cancer on follow up (at least 6 months up to eighteen years) treated at clinical oncology department, Ain Shams University hospitals during years 2017 and 2018 and patients data at diagnosis were retrieved from their recording files and patients with age more than 18 years, ECOG performance status: 0 to 3, and pathologically proven head and neck cancer were included in the study. Then these data were analyzed and calculation of score of CCI for each patient was done (the CCI score is determined by summing the weighted totals of all conditions in a given patient).
