In this special edition we explore ways of thinking about gender beyond binary distinctions, theorizing gender multiplicity and performing and enacting gender fluidity in the context of work and organizing. In an empirically rich and conceptually fascinating article, Christina Hughes and Lynne Baxter kick off the special issue with a piece that addresses the core focus of our original call-the production and reproduction of dualisms (see record 2004-15168-002). They make explicit many of the existing debates surrounding the challenge to dualistic forms of thinking. Recognizing the lack of ethnographic research on gender and entrepreurship, the second article, by Attila Bruni, Silvia Gherardi and Barbara Poggio, explores the interpenetration between performances of gender and of entrepreneurship.
