Human dynamics is a term that has been used and investigated by researchers in various fields from very different perspectives. BarabásiLs (2005) publication of LThe origin of bursts and heavy tails in human dynamicsL in Nature has introduced a recent surge of research interests in human dynamics that ranges from theoretical discussions, method developments, empirical studies, to data and social issues. Although many of the publications investigate human dynamics from a complex network perspective, there is an increasing trend of pursuing human dynamics research from other perspectives.
