Anxiety can arise automatically as a result of excessive internal and external stimuli that exceed the individual's ability to handle. Anxiety disorders are often experienced by the family members while waiting for the patients to be treated in the ICU. Lack of knowledge and limited information often affect thoughts and motivation so that family members are not able to develop the roles and functions. This study aims to determine the anxiety level among the family members of patients while waiting patients who are being treated in the ICU at a Government Hospital in North Sulawesi. Quantitative descriptive design was used in this study. The research sample was taken using the Convenient Sampling technique with a total of 30 respondents.
