简介
Banana fibers (BFs) are utilized as reinforcement to compensate for concrete's inherent weaknesses. Nowadays, there is a focus on incorporating BFs into concrete, depending on them to develop alternative building materials. Numerous advantages associated with the usage of BFs reinforced concrete include higher bending strength, enhanced post-crack load-bearing capability, and others. This context provides an overview of the physical, chemical, and biological pretreatments applied to BFs, their consequences, and the resulting fibrous concrete. This section concludes with conclusions, and recommendations for more in-depth research on the issue.
