Methods: Patients with at least one NTM positive culture are invited to join the Northwest NTM Biorepository. Potential subjects are identified through one of three ways: 1) Oregon regional laboratory surveillance; 2) clinic surveillance from a network of regional physicians; and 3) patients seen at OHSU or referred to the OHSU infectious disease clinic. Control patients with pulmonary disease and no history of NTM were identified through the OHSU Pulmonology Clinic. After obtaining informed consent, we collect blood (serum, PBMCs, and RNA), St. George’s Respiratory Questionnaire and the QOL-Bronchiectasis with NTM Module patient-reported quality of life questionnaires, and complete a comprehensive medical chart review.
