Background
There is a paucity of evidence on whether the survival advantage of multiple arterial revascularisation (MAG) would have an association with off-pump (OPCAB) or on-pump coronary artery bypass grafting (ONCAB). Therefore, this study sought to evaluate the long-term survival of using multi aterial grafting (MAG) vs single arterial grafting (SAG) in OPCAB and ONCAB cohorts.
Method
This national retrospective study used the Australian and New Zealand Society of Cardiac-Thoracic Surgical database to identify 69,624 patients who underwent primary isolated CABG with two or more grafts from June 2001 to January 2020. The endpoint was all-cause mortality, which was compared in propensity score matched patients following stratification by OPCAB and ONCAB.
