The Internet congestion for multimedia contents is ever increasing and the current TCP‑/IP‑based Internet design isn’t adequate to fulfill that sort of content request congestion [10]. The huge growth in the present Internet congestion has created new difficulties in the present IP Internet paradigm. Redundant contents are requested repeatedly causing a lot of Internet congestion. It is important to diminish the replication of identical content requests to make the Internet design proficient [11]. The Internet usage has drastically changed from node‑to‑node‑based delivery to content dissemination irrespective of the location of the con‑-tent. Customers simply want to think about the content’s accessibility and how to get it rapidly and just do not care about the actual serving node of the network. Information exchange can never be out of trend, and there is a need to actualize a proficient Internet design to deal with several Internet concerns which hamper effective information exchange over Internet [12, 13].
During the early days of the Internet, it was planned as a military set‑up with the objective of reusing and sharing of costly computing assets. Due to the expense and shortage of computing resources, the Internet was then accessed by just a small number of users [14].
