The effect of a plant activator called as Stubble-Aid on the growth, leaf relative water content (RWC), chlorophyll fluorescence (Fv/Fm), stomatal conductance and total soluble protein content in tomato (Lycopersicum esculentum Mill.) plants exposed to 100 mM NaCl were studied. After spraying a plant activator “Stubble-Aid”(% 0.5) to leaves and the soil of tomato plants at 4-6 leaf stage, 100 mM NaCl was applied to the soil of tomato plants and then the physiological and biochemical parameters above were measured at different stages of the plant growth. Stubble-Aid prevented the decrease in leaf relative water content (RWC), chlorophyll fluorescence (Fv/Fm), stomatal conductance and total soluble protein content caused by 100 mM NaCl. It can be concluded from these results that this plant activator can enhance the tolerance of tomato plants against salt stress.
