Alpha lipoic acid (ALA; UNII code: 73Y7P0K73Y) was nominated for inclusion on the 503B Bulks List by Fagron for treatment of neuropathy via a 25mg/mL and 40mg/mL intravenous injection. Reasons provided for nomination to the 503B Bulks List include that there is no FDA-approved product and there is always a need for an effective treatment with low side effect profiles.
