Background
In graduate medical education (GME) residency programs, teaching interprofessional teaming is a desired skill for Radiation Oncology (RO) trainees. However, traditional curricula in RO centers around packed weekly schedules incorporating clinical oncology, radiation biology and radiation physics. A recent systematic review of Interprofessional Education (IPE) initiatives in RO was found to be lacking, suggesting novel and efficient ways of offering such activities are needed.
Methods
During the past 12 months, the Radiation Oncology Department designed a teamwork activity. Each staff member was asked to take a short survey to determine their "True Color" (TC) as an indicator of those preferred styles and traits that best characterize their working persona.
