As dental science is touching new horizons, everyday is marked with tremendous improvements in technologies leading to uninterrupted research and innovation. With the invention of new generation dental materials especially nanomaterials, dentistry has acquired incredible potential to stand out worldwide. However in India dentistry is still in the budding stage of its evolution despite having around 300 dental institutions. These institutions generate around 25,000 dental professionals every year but hardly few thousand professionals get themselves engaged in contributing to the research and growth of dental science. The inculcation of scientific temper in young dental surgeons certainly speeds up the process of research and developments.
