Between 1 January 2006 and 31 December 2006, demographic and relevant tumor related information for every patient registered in Tata Memorial Hospital in the neuro-oncology clinic was prospectively recorded. Information on age, sex, address, date of registration, pathological diagnosis at presentation, site of the disease, referral hospital or center available were entered in the database, at the time of first visit. Documents of all registration patients were double-checked to eliminate error in registration. Review of the radiological and pathological data done in all cases and final diagnosis after review including in the joint neuro-oncological meetings with other professionals was recorded as final data.
