Methods: To test our hypotheses, we did intramPFC injection of adenovirus associated with Dlx promoter (specific to GABAergic interneurons) and the gene encoding receptors binding to Designed Drugs hM3D (Gq)(DREADD+) in male C57BL6Ntac adult mice. Control groups received adenovirus with only the promoter and reporter genes (Reporter-tdTomato). Experiment 1 (Non-Stressed Animals): Three weeks after surgery, animals were assigned to treatment groups, including Vehicle or CBD (10mg/kg) administered 1h before behavioural tests, which were: 3chamber test (3CT), Elevated Plus Maze (EPM), Open Field Test (OFT), Tail Suspension Test (TST), and Y-maze.
