Recently, great research efforts have been made to study the superconductivity in 2D systems, especially in 2D transitional metal dichalcogenide (TMD) materials [1, 2]. Those systems host vast properties not only including superconductivity, but also other exotic properties such as topology, ferroelectricity and magnetism, and thus provide a test ground to study the interplay between superconductivity and other non-trivial phases. For example, it has been suggested that in monolayer WTe 2 the possible co-existence of superconductivity and the topologically protected helical edge states arising from quantum spin Hall (QSH) effect can host Majorana zero modes, which can be a potential candidate for topological quantum computer [1, 2].
