The main agronomic traits in field and the content of leaf chlorophyll and anthocyanin of new characteristic rice line'Huxuan 102'were investigated. The results showed that the phenotype of'Huxuan 102'was obvious difference with that of'Daoguxiang 5','Anhuiheimi','Xiushui 128'and'Xiushui 134'. In different growth period, different parts of'Huxuan 102'showed different degrees of purple; Mature rice showed deep black, shiny, with beautiful grain type; The plant height, ear length, kernels per spike, 1 000-grain weight were 107 cm, 15 cm 129 and 24.58 g respectively. Its yield stabilized at 7 800-8 100 kg/hm 2 which was remarkably higher than many landlords planted black rice varieties. The leaf chlorophyll content of'Huxuan 102'was no significant difference with the control, but the anthocyanin content was markedly higher than the control.
