Interstitial lung disease (ILD)-related cough is a frequent and often bothersome complaint. There is currently little data regarding which interventions may help to alleviate this symptom. Pregabalin has been studied in a small number of subjects with refractory chronic cough (> 8 weeks duration). Therefore, we reviewed our clinical experience with patients who received this medication for ILD-related cough. ILD patients prescribed a course of pregabalin (2019 to 2022) for ILD-related cough at Montfort Hospital (Ottawa, Ontario, Canada) were reviewed. Subjects all received an initial dose of 75 mg oral qhs for 4 weeks, followed by 75 mg oral bid. Patients completed the Leicester Cough Questionnaire (LCQ) at baseline and after 3 months of therapy.
