The aim of the present research work is to evaluate the effect of sand-to-binder (S/B) ratio and fly ash/GGBS blends on durability performance, and microstructural evolution of fly ash/GGBS based geopolymer mortar (GPM) against various acidic environment especially for exposure to HCl and H2SO4 solutions. The effect of sand-to-binder (S/B) ratio and fly ash/GGBS blends on flowability, strength, water absorption, permeable voids, acid resistance, and microstructural changes of geopolymer mortar (GPM) are investigated. The deterioration factor of GPM specimens exposed to different acidic environment are determined for different values of sand-to-binder (S/B) ratio and fly ash/GGBS blends. Test results indicated that the GPM specimens after exposure to acidic environment showed higher deterioration factor when compared with the strength measured at 28 days and 180 days of ambient curing.
