Epinephrine for patients with anaphylaxis is a life-saving intervention; however, there is a risk of adverse cardiac events. An analysis of cardiac outcomes based on age in patients treated for anaphylaxis with epinephrine showed that patients older than 80 years should be closely monitored for adverse cardiac events.
