简介
Precision and reliability of water erosion intensity measurements depend on a number of factors, such as the accuracy of input data, used erosion model, and tools applied to computations. The article shows an assessment of the influence of elevation data accuracy on the components' values in the RUSLE model. The computation process was based on ArcGIS environment and incorporated geospatial data obtained with aerial scanning. Elevation datasets were the result of processing input DTM structure of 1x1 m grid cell size to sets of increasingly lower size and accuracy (up to 5x5 m). A significant relationship between the degree of elevation data generalization and computed mass of eroded material was shown. The values allow to apply the magnitude of input data optimization to produce assumed accuracy of values representing erosion.
