Dr. Yana N. Nepomnyashchaya, PhD, is a research fellow at the Laboratory of Bioinformatics and Medical Information Technology at the Federal Research and Clinical Center for Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Immunology. Her primary research interests include non-invasive prenatal diagnosis of aneuploidy and single gene disorders. She is working on developing a novel optimized algorithm to estimate the risk of the fetal abnormalities, such as Down syndrome on the basis of nucleotide sequences data analysis.
