简介
Results: Utilizing this technique, a total of 10 screws were surgically inserted. None of the screws injured the vertebral artery. This technique did not add up to the operative time. On the second intraoperative scan (after the insertion of the screws), the vertebral artery was still visible and its continuity was intact. The second scan depicted however in all the cases, serious venous artefacts.
Conclusions: This technique should be considered not as a golden strategy for the treatment of upper and subaxial cervical pathologies. This technique is proposed for the cases with severely distorted anatomy to aid the insertion of the screws and tumour’s resection.
