The transformation from the building material industry (BMI) to green BMI (GBMI) is not only of great significance to the upgrading of traditional BMI, but also has a pivotal role in promoting the sustainable development of cities. This paper studies the governance mechanism of the BMI in transformation to GBMI from the perspective of supply-side and demand-side of green building. First, evolutionary game theory is used to develop two three-party dynamic game models including building materials enterprises (BME), government, building developers (BD) and building consumers (BC). Second, numerical simulation experiment method is used to study the multi-stage governance mechanism based on the model deduction and the theoretical analysis of green transformation.
