Conclusions: Patients and caregivers globally described human connection and patient-centredness as fundamental for health care. While SC specialists play important roles, participants emphasised the importance of other staff recognising and being comfortable with the spiritual domain. Research priorities identified here can help ensure future spiritual care research is centred on service users’ needs.
