DISCUSSION
Drugs with serotoninergic activity, such as SSRIs, monoamine oxidase inhibitors, and tricyclic antidepressants, can be associated with hyperprolactinemia, but the literature is limited. 2, 4, 5 There are only 2 case reports on fluvoxamine-associated reversible hyperprolactinemia, 6, 7 and 1 report is with the concomitant use of risperidone and fluvoxamine. 8 Another case of euprolactinemic galactorrhea is reported with fluvoxamine in OCD. 3 Here, the index case shows a temporal correlation of fluvoxamine administration and an increase in serum prolactin levels with galactorrhea, which signifies the possible causal role of drug. Second, amelioration of the galactorrhea and decrease in serum prolactin level on withdrawal of drug also suggests possible etiological role.
