The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development was defined by United Nations Member States to provide a list of sustainable development goals (SDGs) aimed to achieve a more sustainable future. Greenhouse gas and CO₂ emissions are now at their highest levels in history, and freight transport and logistics service industry has been recognized as one of the main contributors to environmental degradation.
