OBJECTIVE

Ovarian stimulation and in vitro fertilization (IVF) represent significant advances in reproductive medicine, allowing infertile couples to conceive. More than eight million babies have been born thanks to assisted reproduction treatments (ART). However, studies indicate that the gamete manipulations and embryos during IVF can affect the offspring metabolism, which may predispose them to diseases in adult life. Nevertheless, most studies evaluating the impact of ART on offspring involve perinatal, neonatal, and short-term data. For the first time, our study aimed to evaluate the impact of ovarian stimulation alone and associated with IVF on the health of adult mice offspring.
