简介
Consumption of mushrooms can be dated back to period of ancient Greeks and Romans. They plan an important role in human cuisine. Apart from the delicate taste, they provide numerous health benefits. Unlike the edible mushrooms Amanita phalloides also known as death cap belonging to Amanita family is found to be the leading cause of mushroom poisoning deaths. In this article protein analysis of Phalloidin bound F-actin complex, a protein found in Amanita phalloides is done. Bioinformatics tools are used to perform insilico analysis of Phalloidin bound F-actin complex, a protein found in Amanita phalloides. Protein analysis was done for the protein obtained from Protein Data Bank (PDB) and secondary structure was predicted. Prediction of membrane spanning regions and their orientation was predicted using TMPred software. Sequence similarity was identified using BLASTp and reconstruction of multimeric molecules is done using Wat Cut software. Probability of the protein sequence to adopt a coiled coil conformation was calculated using COILS. Presence of chloroplast transit peptides (cTP) in protein sequences was predicted using ChloroP. Further protein analysis was done using DictyOGlyc 1.1 which produced neural network predictions for GlcNAc O-glycosylation sites. Functional or structural homolog search for the protein Phalloidin bound F-actin complex was done using Propsearch. Statistical analysis of protein sequence was done using SAPS which evaluated protein sequence properties using statistics.
